You mean this is not all fiction here?

There's some stories told here, but not consistently good and out there like a good TRI news release.

I think we could do a MadLib with TRI press releases.

I need: An adjective _____, a made-up material ________, a scientific term ________, a small number ________, a large number ________, a state of matter _________, a verb __________, a prefix ___________, and a sheen _________.

insert glossy mockup in space _______________.

(Highly important. Do not mind if designing them makes up more than 50% of your companies total workload.)

Just to bring this thread on topic again :D :

The new twitter account of TRI is somewhat acitve and is promoting their AI 'Sir Alan' since a few months now.

The following new article features some pictures and a hands-on-video of a working prototype of the Appassionato phone: http://www.androidauthority.com/turi...review-792840/

TRI aims to release the phone at the end of 2017.

Here are some quotes and specs from the above mentioned article:

Quote:

TRI ditched the proprietary connectors in favor of a USB Type-C port and headphone jack.
Quote:

This brings us to the software, which was a big part of the story on the Turing Phone due to the security features that the company hawked. For unclear reasons, Android got nixed right before the phone was meant to come out and replaced with Sailfish OS.Two years later, security is no longer a major selling point, as TRI admits that Android security is on an adequate level with Nougat.
Quote:

Based on their track record, it’s hard to say that you should trust the company. But things seem to be different this time around, and that’s mostly thanks to a new partnership with TCL – the same folks that manufacture BlackBerry and Alcatel devices.
Specs:
- 5.5 inches Quad HD AMOLED display
- Snapdragon 821
- 8 GB of RAM
- 128 GB of storage
- 12MP Sony camera Sensor (said to be the same as in Google Pixel phone)
- Gorilla glas on both sides
- Liquidmorphium frame/body
- stock Android OS

So they are building generic android phones now.

I'd rather buy a Samsung device then, if I was looking for a soulless android device.

"the metallic body is complemented by Gorilla Glass on both sides"

I loled hard. :D
So, TRI make a frame with the "unbreakable Liquidmorphium", and then put a glass on top of it, on the *back* where there is no screen to protect otherwise, to increase the chances to break something on an unbreakable phone.

I'm wondering what will happen to Sailfish OS in the future, how long it can be alive :(
