Re: Tint Overlay

Could it be used to create some kind of f.lux for Sailfish OS?

(as far as I got f.lux changes the white point)

Re: Tint Overlay

no it cant mix colors like f.lux or redshift, only static tint is possible this way.

The temperature seems to work as expected. However, the icon for weather conditions never changes, and doesn't reflect the one shown on Jolla Weather.

Seems you posted it in wrong thread.

Re: Tint Overlay

I love this! Just a suggestion: Could it be possible to add overlay as a toggle to events view? Every night when I use this and browse web using browser same time, Sailfish decides to kill the app and tries to make me blind. I assume the OS would let a background process stay on instead of killing a windowed app.

Shame on you Sailfish for not letting a user multitask with _two_ open apps at the same time.

But... Could it be? I noticed the overlay.qml in the app. Can QtGraphicalEffects be used here? It provides GammaAdjust, which could be used for redshifting the output.

Re: Tint Overlay

Re: Tint Overlay

Just sent a donation to maybe help you with your search for the source code ;)

It would be very cool to have Tint Overlay for x86 Tablet on 2.1.x.

You can grab it here when completed: https://build.merproject.org/package...1/tint-overlay

Build finished successfully, uploaded to openrepos.

Re: Tint Overlay

Great work!

Just an idea, would be nice to run tint-overlay as a daemon that enables on sunset and disables on sunrise automatically (as an option) like gnome-shell night mode

Could be calculated based on GPS/Glonass or manual entering latitude and use this formula: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunrise_equation (https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Уравнение_восхода)

Have a nice day!
