switched to an other phone, but keeping n9 for ..
Hi,
For some reasons my n9 crashed, so I had to use my other jolla1 phone t until I fix my n9 (corrupt fs is now fixed) ... Now, I am about to travel aboard .. and I havent found a better offline map for jolla so I'll probably take both ... This make me think that n9 still have some good features that others cant beat , let's try to list them and eventually propose alternative solutions if there are any ... I start with : - bootloader / multi boot : (nitdroid, mer...) - open linux kernel - linux tun/tap : (you know why) - SIP support : (as platform's service) - nokia map (download offline maps) - nokia drive offline turn by turn And the hardware side : - nice screen (works fine outdoor) - nice camera (far better than tizen z1 or nokia x) - nfc ? (I dont really use them, do you ?) Features I like with alternatives - call recorder app jolla: https://together.jolla.com/question/...recording-app/ - profilematic jolla: https://together.jolla.com/question/...or-situations/ So why do you still carry n9 with you as a backup phone ? |

Well, if you have nothing against using android applications, you can use a lot of offline maps in Jolla.
Situations and call recorder are also in Jolla. |

Holds = Jolla

I use it as backup exactly for the things you listed + the taggable musicplayer where I just tap favourites after start - I was also forced to Jolla1 as I have a pre-production N9 with a dodgy modem (at least with the sim I currently have)

I use my black/64G as a server @home... It' gathering dust on a shelf but powered on and hanging off my wlan, accessible all the time.
