# iPhone games < # n900 games

I looked at the Ovi/Maemo select store and saw only ONE game...

The iPhone has like THOUSANDS of great games. The Android platform also has alot of great games...

But then I realized something... The n900 has a slider QWERTY and supports flash in the browser. A combination no iPhone or Android has, which opens up for a whole world of millions of online games! Miniclip, newgrounds, onemorelevel.com here I come! =)

Flash will be on Android & Palm devices as well. With each device having similar hardware (N900, Motorola Droid, Pre), the flash experience should be the same. (Except the Pre cant use its internal GPU as of yet)

Does Mameo contain superior programming as to the way it will handle flash?

The difference is that QWERTY is standard for Maemo devices, while Android games can't require that.

Not true, for example it's rumored the 920 will not have a hard keyboard. And even the 770 and n800 did not have hard keyboards.

iPhone does have a lot of fun games, but besides Jewellust and the game emulators, Android IMO sucks for games at this time. A lot of devs are staying away until the install base of Android devices have more space to install apps.

G1 = 75 megs free space and the rest (including Droid) = 130 to 200 free megs of space. Considering a lot of the games are 8 megs installed and some of the better iPhone games are 20 megs or more installed, Android will not be too good for a while.

You really think android has great games? I personally think all but about 5 of them suck like a black hole. The truly awful 3d acceleration on the platform means there will be no real eye candy any time soon.

All true, though I really look forward to more native games for the N900. The "Bounce" demo is pretty cool, makes good use of the tilt and 3d features. More of that pls. :>

(and don't forget VGBA :P)

You do know that the rumored N920 is a fake.. (which i really found it ammusing tht nobody have paid attention closely to the screen where it's showing either the OS2007 or the OS2008)...

Anyways here's the link to prove it's a fake..

And sorry for going off-topic..

So nobody knows if the next maemo device will have a physical keyboard or not..

Older Maemo devices have onscreen keyboards but from N810 onwards Maemo devices have a qwerty keyboard physically. There are some other standard items that all Maemo devices have to support so can be relied upon by developers for a platform. Remember, Maemo is now on version 5 in the N900.

N900 has SCUMMVM with a screen resolution big enough, and a stylus.

Enough said.

And if GemRB is ported on the N900 and works well, that'll really put iPhones games to shame.
