Hello,

Sadly it's damaged.
It was nearly recycled...
Can you guess which device is?

If you want one more picture ask me.

Regards.

EDIT:

Apparently nobody want to know.
So sad.

I don't care enough and make the effort to ask you. Let me explain why; It's not that we not want to know what it is, I am curiuos too. But knowing doesn't gain me anything at all... Besides that the pictures you posted where crappy low-res pics which are really not helping to determine what device it is. So I went away, not really enough interested to ask you for better pictures...

tl,dr: you might want to get some decent pictures first....

Sorry for these pictures.
I don't have device yet.
Let me post a new picture today.
You will be very surprised concerning this prototype.
The research was very hard and now it's my favorite prototype even in very poor conditions. I have saved his life from bad hands...
I need precious help now to find battery and try to turn ON.

@all TMO users and Nokia fans:
Keep your eyes open.
all helps will be appreciated.

N97 / n97 mini?

Edit: Hmm don't think so if you look at the right side(last picture) you can see kind of curved bottom like first appeared on n8.

Based on that it Might be E7 proto or n950 or indeed Lauta

You may have already tried it, but couldn't it be powered from USB only, without a battery at all ?

Anyway, lovely device !

Luck to you on that. Hell, I've not seen any pieces of this one - even by people that have a ton of prototype devices.

Maybe you could try to use some 3d-printing house, like Shapeways?

Re: Nokia Lauta RM-742

If you have the original there should be someone who could laser scan it and just print a new one.

Hi,
You have some contact to do the work if the housing is damaged?

Friend who worked at Harmattan team said they had their testing room 'full' of these.. And he thought that no Lauta devices were rescued :)

Unfortunately not, only because I've not had to use one. Depends on where you're based as well.

Probably you can wire any Nokia battery. Only exact fit is problematic but you can take a other battery and wire the poles. All batteries are li-ion thus 3,7v anyway.

Battery free space seems to fit BP-6EW - Lumia 900 battery (connector on the right side, longitudinal shape).

Connector is not the same cause battery connector have 3 pins and on device there are only 2.
So?

So?

Maybe temperature sensor and/or BSI is not in place on that particular proto. Thus only + and - without any protection, but I kind of doubt that... Unless they used it only on a powersource with build-in protection anyway.
