Bypassing mobile websites

Some sites direct you to their "mobile" version when trying to go to them on the N900 e.g. collegehumor, kotaku, etc.
Is there anyway to bypass the mobile versions of websites so that you don't have to find the view normal site link on the page or even for those sites that don't have one of those links and force you to stay in the mobile version of the site?

Scroll down: Switch to Full size
or
install Hide User Agent package to Set your browser for it!

Re: Bypassing mobile websites

open Web
type in url about:config
filter agent
find general.useragent.vendor
you can manually change it to whatever you like there

Thanks, I tried both methods. about:config didn't seem to want to save the changes I made once I left the page.
It's sorted now so I'm just curious as to why the about:config method didn't save for me.
