How to determine your battery needs to be replaced
I have a bunch of batteries that I got with some of the N900's I bought.
I think my current battery is nearing the end of its life - I need to charge it once a day even when I am not using a lot of wifi or gps. Used Modrana today and within one hour the battery was drained. I just installed battery eye to keep track of battery use and hope this will make it easier to decide when to replace the battery. Any suggestion how to determine (best / fastest) which of my batteries are still fresh or need to be replaced? |

Use BNF to check calibrated battery capacity after 3-5 battery cycles?

Re: How to determine your battery needs to be replaced
Did you set the radios and screen off at least at the end of the discharging ? During the chip calibration process the battery needs to get lower than some value (can't remember) to be considered a valid discharge. Probably BME is shutting down the device before that.
Edit: and be aware that you don't need bnf to calibrate the chip. It is only a script that collects and shows the data. |

Will do the same now but after low battery is mentioned I will disable all services and screen. |

Just use it normally and it should calibrate. Never had issues. After 3-5 cycles you should get pretty accurate results :).
