swiping in fremantle
How about the N9 feature in fremantle? Is it possible? I know the os can recognize swiping from the bezel. Can we hack in a daemon that switches to the next app upon swipe?

Re: swiping in fremantle
Well, I'm currently thinking about adding this as a way to turn pages in my manga/comic book viewer. :D

Re: swiping in fremantle
No, that would mess up the idea of os-wide usage :)

Re: swiping in fremantle
You can switch between windows with Shortcutd with this command:
Code:
matchbox-remote -next But swiping would be fun :) |
Re: swiping in fremantle
so, writing a daemon to watch touch all the time is possible? or does the application have full control? Where could I start testing this? Can python do the job, or do I have to use plain c? Any answers appreciated.

Re: swiping in fremantle
I would start looking for programs that monitor mouse gestures

Re: swiping in fremantle
Gesture based multitasking, such as in WebOS or MeeGo would be awesome. Why? Some MeeGo and WebOS apps are running on N900 and it'd be nice to have them minimized.
It be awesome as a part of CSSU. |
Re: swiping in fremantle
swipe down to minimize and swipe left right to cycle between apps and swipe from down opens a app drawer with recently used and favs:) this would be a good usabiliy feature to be use normaly
