Hutspot does not play nor cache anything. It is a controller. Librespot is the player and does the caching. See for example this link on local files: https://github.com/librespot-org/librespot/issues/152

Thanks for this app! It is not the perfect one yet but it starts much faster then that Android crap!!

Is it only me failing?

used hutspot last week but now it seems not work anymore? Has spotify blocked librespot maybe?

I could only get it to work on WIFI for me last time I tried. Don't have my Jolla 1 on me to try it now.
