I was aware of the date however the sub-linked article is dated 31st January. April Fools or not, there's no denying that Usmanov owns 52% of the company. He can fire Durov from his CEO position whenever he likes so the point still stands.

I haven't had time to work on this project lately, but now I have retaken it. I'm working on a GUI based on the command line client. Right now I have only a list of contacts and getting and sending text messages functions, It will take some time till I can upload something presentable.
