OneDrive Client?

Hi guys.

I've recently been wondering, how many of you guys are in need of a client that can connect to online storage? Things like OD, Google Drive, DropBox and so on...

I'd really love it if a few of us could get together to try and create a client for OD and other storage modes which would allow us to download and upload documents.

I often find myself putting things on OD because it makes documents easy to access. Doing so makes my work extremely efficient and I can view what I need to when I want, wherever I want. I'm sure there are many on here just like me. I've had a search of the forums and I've found nothing on this.

I know it's a big stretch but if a few of us could just get together and start work on something we could create something big for the N900. It's just an idea.

Cheers,
David

There may be a few people here who would use 1drive with you.
I use it myself now and again...rarely.
I still use some M$ programs ...only for tablet penabled art prog related purposes am I tied to win anymore.
And as I mentioned there may be a few members here interested...but ...hehe...this is a Linux device community...so I imagine most prob wouldn't want to use 1drive.
Maybe I'm wrong....I could be way-off and there may be tons of happy sleeper windows users who are laying low waiting someone to mention 1drive....
.but I think it's going to go over as well as going to...
say....
for example...
the Texas Cattlemen's Association Meeting and yelling out "...Wouldn't it be cool if we raised sheep?..." heehee. :D

Using any other cloud storage service....
especially one that isn't so singularly proprietary ...
as say ....1drive ....
may have a better chance of success.

An open sauce port of M$ 1drive?!?!
I must say ...
we truly do now live in an age of miracles and wonders :D

Well now..
that being said... :D
the odds of 1drive being utilized more here by community...just went up remarkably.

Of course this is only an idea that I've put forward. And it doesn't have to be just for OneDrive, there are other online storage facilities available out there that we can work on as well. But I'm hoping that you guys can see the potential that is at stake here.

This is something that would be fantastic for the N900. I utilise my N900 as my work phone but it's value would go up 10 fold with the ability to access online storage. I think with such a client it would become much more valuable to the many users on these forums.

So the bottom line - does anybody want to give it a try? I can't code for ****, but I'm willing to test and I'll happily hand a few donations away to keep ball rolling.

If you are using OneDrive for work stuff you might be using the OneDrive for bussiness (which I think you get with 365 account) that is completely different from the personal OneDrive. The bussiness version is using the sharepoint format for the sharing. If I remember correctly there was a thread in here somwhere with some instructions to get sharepoint or some other WebDAV service to work on N900. I remember testing it, but didn't have the time/skill/patience to get it working. Try searching with sharepoint or WebDAV keywords if it is really OneDrive for Bussiness that you are using.

There was an N900 DropBox client, but it seems to have become moribund over the period when the repos were shaky:

No I use OneDrive for my own personal uses, but I have work related things up there so that I always have access to them. I am not using OneDrive for business from Office 365 - as you have said that is a completely different thing.

I wonder if it's somehow possible to use part of the coding from that to get us started with a OneDrive project.

The dropbox client works, but not the version in the repos or in the first post. Somewhere in the middle of the thread there are instructions to get it working with new DropBox API. I still use this to sync my photos to cloud.
