This whole bit of guerilla and reverse-psychology marketing may actually save the N9. If Elop is even half the pointy-headed evil type that most people here makes of him, he would take credit for all this debacle in the end:

So it hits the FCC... means that it might actually show up at Amazon at least. I mean... penta-band, it'll work here. And with Nokia USA shuttering their online shop, who knows.

When it hits FCC it merely means the device can be used in U.S. It does not mean it will be sold there.

Considering the vasts amount of stuff sold in the US that enters illegally I find it absurd to think that something that is legal to sell here will not be sold here in one market or another.
