Re: nitrdoid autoinstallers

There is no autoinstaller for nitdroid-0.0.9, But the manual installation is easy.

If you want to install nitdroid-0.0.9 manually.
Follow these steps:

1.You should enable extra-devel in your apps manager (search in google)

2.Download nitdroid-0.0.9 (google)

3.Install root and lefpad from apps manager

4.download NITDroid_kernel.Mido.Fayad.deb (google)
Now, Open x-terminal
root
apt-get install nitdroid-installer (required internet)

Then,Open new x-terminal
root
cd /home/user/Mydocs/
bzip2 -d NITDroid-0.0.9.tar.bz (it take time)
cd /
mkdir /and
cd /
mount /home /and (space after /home)
cd /and
tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/NITDroid-0.0.9.tar (It will extract the file in and folder)

Install NITDroid-kernel.Mido.Fayad (through apps manager)

Open new x-terminal:
leafpad /etc/multiboot.d/1 (press tab on your screen)

Dunno if to install this, or is it worth waiting for the next release?

Re: nitrdoid autoinstallers

Pretty much nothing has changed in 0.0.9 since it was first released with this thread:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=66459&page=188

Well nothing except people asking general questions over and over.............

Since you aren't going to read that thread: there is no gsm phone on 0.0.9 and some people cannot use 3g data. YMMV

Sorry I misjudged your situation. Since you have done that I'm not sure what to tell you. Mine works but I can't figure out why it doesn't get 3g. You can always backup and reflash maemo for a fresh start if you are that determined....

Re: nitrdoid autoinstallers

anyway 3g works on gingerbread

the only problem is that the reflash is just 5 mins
but installing and setting maemo applications takes more than 2 days

So use the backup function on the device itself, save to your local PC, and then when you reflash restore the backup, connect to WiFi and then the apps will auto-reinstall. I have more apps than I know what to do with and give me an hour and a half after restore its back to how it was.

Simples.
