Calendar Home Widget replacement
 

Hi,

I made a replacement for the built-in calendar home widget.
It is currently in extras devel with version 0.2.
At the moment this is only for testing. There can be bugs, leaks, crashes.
(The worst thing that can happen, your hildon-home crashes
and you have to add back all your other widgets).

I've tried to make it look like the built-in widget.
And added some small ui changes and some setting options.

Features:

• set visible rows:
  • 1 - 9
  • Auto - Adjusts the size automatically for upto 9 rows.
• set the date range to use to show events on the widget (1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, ..., 1 year)
• Select visible calendars .
• Select which calendar view to open, when tapping on the event list.
  (agenda, week, month)
• Show persons age on birthday events

You can always tap on the day icon to open the agenda view,
the week day name always opens the week view and
tapping on the month label, well opens the month view.

If you like, please test and report back which events are not displayed or wrong. For example, I did
not tested synced events. Or if there are any problems with huge calendars.

Where is the Path to the Background Pixmap ?

At the moment I use the same background image as the built-in widget:

/usr/share/themes/default/images/CalendarAppletBackground.png

Ah ok.

Is it possible to make 8 or 7 Rows ?
I need the Space for the Icons on the Bottom.

9 Rows is to much and 5 is to small :)

that's what i was looking for!! could you add the feature of setting visible the place of a meeting?!

i really need it, i'd like to see where's my next lesson on widget instead of open calendar(i know i'm lazy, but it's a way to minimize actions when i'm late! :D )
