Re: Unable to install Catorise N900
It says package is not available, but is referred to by another package. This package seems missing. Has been obseleted or available from another source. I tried updating as well.

Re: Unable to install Catorise N900
you realize you are responding to a post from more than 1/2 a year ago right?
I've used catorise many times ...had enough problems with it. 'tween catorise and other stuff like fapman ... at least on my daily I don't use such problematic stuff... no matter how quick and fast or great they are...it isn't worth wonkifying of my daily... on one of my other n900's sure... not my daily though. As far as not being able to install catorise plus .... I just took a look on my daily... and I don't have any missing dependencies to install it... don't know what you got goin' on that you are having such issues. If it is not having the right repos added.... I've taken to installing nothing but all the repos for n900 from maemo-repos .. (utilizing and enabling extras-devel / testing as needed) perhaps that is the prob you are dealing with... perhaps it is a fapman issue in conjunction with catorise plus ... rearing it's ugly head for you (if you are using fapman...or using fapman in conjunction with appman...) fapman can bring allllll kinds of weirdness to the table if it is used. more info needed here... I'd imagine... I suggest... apt-get what you need.. as suggested in the beginning of the thread.. because for some strange reason...you have mucked up or missing dependencies.. since technically.. you (and everyone else) already "have" liblocale-gettext-perl on the n900... https://wiki.maemo.org/Perl "Installed Perl packages In the SDK (and ) On device liblocale-gettext-perl 1.01-17osso2 libtimedate-perl 1.1600-4osso perl 5.8.3-3osso10 perl-base 5.8.3-3osso10 perl-modules 5.8.3-3osso10 liblocale-gettext-perl 1.01-17osso2 perl-base 5.8.3-3osso10 " (sure this page is a wee bit antiquated....but still.....you do have it ...or rather ..."had" it...) |

Re: Unable to install Catorise N900
Read http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=95870 and install nokia repos (especially SSU repo). Then apt-get update and it should be ok.

Re: Unable to install Catorise N900
Thank you so much mate =)
I missed the "one click" links on the bottom off the maemo-repos page earlier. It was a while when i used my N900. I broke it last summer and have been using my N9 'till i picked up my spare N900 with CSSU thumb now. Just waiting for my Neo900 =) feels good to be back =) Thanks mate! Maemo to the people =) |
