[HOW TO] Shoot your own knee in no time

So I was starting up my Jolla and all good. Was planning install this new update and see was this fuzz was about.

My Jolla pretty clean - no hacks, no android, one application(Spotify) from open repos the rest from Jolla.

Now, after update the screen is on but it's black. after restart(remove battery) I see Jolla logo for a few seconds and the black screen again.

If I press power button for a while a red light show at the led indicator.

Any suggestion on what to do or Is this how the new update shall work? Destroying the phone. If so I'm fine with that.

Yeah. I had to dig up one of my not so secure computers. Now the driver worked. Unfortunately I had to do a factory reset but atleast the phone works again. All good. Now I will try to update again.

You do trust a Microsoft OS, but don't trust their own pre-installed drivers?
