Command Line Image Viewer for SFOS?

Is it possible?
Something I can point to a directory, or a list of images, and make it show them?

I'd say "something like Feh", but feh is for X11 only.

Things I tried and dismissed:
  • xdg-open <image> - opens only a single image in the gallery app
  • symlinking the desired directories/images to /home/nemo/Pictures - images are displayed, but mixed up with all other images. Would be nice if they'd show up as a separate folder.

There are image viewers like Viu that work fine on SF, but there's not a terminaal for SF that can show images high-res.

However, with a bit of hackery, you can take advantage of lxc containers, and get X apps to launch from SF-side, displaying in the container Xwayland window... (e.g. Kittty, which can show high-res images):
