Juffed Text Editor

Hi,

I was testing to compile some stuff using Qt4 libraries and I found this app. Juffed is an Text editor for programmers, Is based on Qt4 and run fine on Maemo. You just need install Qt4 libraries for Maemo and download this file, then you can run it from CLI or create a .desktop.

Decent editor. On a N800 the on-screen keyboard doesn't work, so a virtual keyboard like xkbd\xvkbd or a bluetooth keyboard is needed. At least it doesn't suffer from the "no carrage return bug" that the full IDE editors SciTE and Geany have.

I like the line-numbering, but PyGTKEditor may be "better" than Juffed on a N800 due to PyGTKEditor being able to use the on-screen keyboard.

Re: Juffed Text Editor

somebody really should compile this into a .deb. is .doc format supported? there is perhaps nothing more that the maemo community needs than a word processor with .doc support.

Nope,

It don't support .doc files; it is a programmer plain text editor with syntax coloring.
