Got my N900... love it... but...

I have some annoyances...

a) jabber client does not support setting priority - not sure if I should file this into bugzilla or not - but this is imho important since it means one could say: I'm going away from my computer make this jabber my highest priority now and send all messages there by default.

b) jabber client - DISABLE emoticons option... hate them, don't want them, just give an option for that... I guess another for bugzilla possibly.. if I type :) I expect to see :)

c) make some profile packages so that a user can completly remove some things... I highly doubt skype l10n files are required if one removes all other skype related things off. Similar for sharing services and others.

d) a terminal that respects .Xdefaults and has UTF-8 support(no clue if the current one has hence why I'm putting it here)

e) where is the ALT key... I can't find it anywhere.. kinda need that for normal terminal work myself - an on screen in the terminal would work

And yeah I know it's not yet there but still some things I'd like to see:
bash 3.0, zsh 4.x those are kinda the two things I tend to use... bash for scripting and zsh for my interactive work.

And no this isn't an excersise in bashing... they are realy issues I'd like to see fixed...

The final one which I doubt can really get fixed is the repos...

There's /home/opt for some things, others install normaly to /usr some to /opt possibly...

I plan on repartitioning things anyway so would like to run my own repository and buildbox for it. But haven't really gone looking for this. Anyone know any instructions on setting this up?

I see there's a bug for this already.

Well just made my own with scratchbox. I'll probably setup my own repo for such things.

Supposedly you will find the camera app will not longer work now as for some odd reason, it only will work saving to a fat partition.

Really sucks as I wanted to reformat to ext3 too but having to keep a vfat partition dedicated for the camera is a deal breaker, as it would likely fill up when doing video. :(

I'm using ext2 myself. I kept a 2GB vfat for that for now.

That seems better than ext3. Or at least turn off some stuff such as atime in ext3...

Other problematic thing about the jabber implementation is that I cannot send messages to specific resource. If my friend is logged on from two places I would like to be able to specifie where to send the message :(
