i have here some .flv files , i downloaded. They are around 80 mb.
i have installed KMplayer. Then i managed to open it, but is lagging.
so is there a way to install some extra codec or on other player to watvh the flv files ?
tryed to install zotube and open the flv file with it , but it is not in the list of programs , from wich i can choose.
is there a way to start the flv with zotube from consol ?

Re: .flv n900 player support

Install extra-decoders plugin and use the Media player to play them.

I can play them fine!

mYtube has always done a great job at playing and downloading YouTube videos.

I've installed the extra decoders plugint too but I'm not able to see the .flv videos in the media player list, also if I'm able to watch them when I try to open them from file manager. Any ideas?

PS: Already try to reboot

try to update the codecs ... that is what helped me ...
dont kneww if over the Program manager or apt-get update ... i tryed both ,,,
and you can go to the file with the file manager , and if the codecs are intalled well , you can click on them and then the media player will be opend ...

I istalled Mplayer and KMplayer. Changed in KMpalyer the player to Mplayer and !!! it works ... very very fluely ... i think this bad quality i have is nicer on my n900 than an my pc )))
So now everything works well ...
Things i did;
1) extra codec
2) Mpayer
3) KmPlayer and change the player to mplayer

open the video with KMplayer and everything is perfect

I installed Mplayer, KMPlayer and then Extra Codecs. .flv movies I have is large and I get buffering and green screen. Nothing being played. Does the order of installation of above matter?
