Yeah, I think jerry has got a point.

MeeGo has got decent amount of steam with Intel (and the rest)... and this would be a strategic point for MS as well, I think they may let MeeGo live.

(hopefully)

He doesn't mention Qt or OVI. Then he clearly states that they will use MS services and development tools.

So good deal Nokia, you are becoming HTC.

I guess the N900 will be the LAST completly OPEN phone! too bad!

windows 'effing sh**' phone is so damn close, there is NO mutli-tasking, you are forced to use this crappy ZUNE SOFTWARE, omg, what is nokia thinking?

Re: Goodbye Meego, goodbye Nokia

correct. the fact is that ms will never use qt. and nokia, with elop, is now a ms sub company. let qt live only for meego? no. to expensive. meego will die believe me. that's how networking in the upper management works.

the idea of a open source phone is great and correct. but it has failed.

Ooo CMON!!! get real for **** sake. With this new strategy Meego is dead :-( Intel doesnt give a **** about Meego they have Android/WP7. They may release some prototypes of Meego on MWC but thats it :-(

Cant u people her get the facts this IS the end of Meeego and for Nokia in long run and ofcourse its most stupid thing Nokia has decided so far. Elop and the rest of the Nokia staff is Idiots.

Now I hope HP open up WebOS and integrate QT in its core OS.

shame that there was no opportunity for it to test its wings on the wild.... killed in the cradle.

failing in the wild would be fine for me...
