Symbian QT apps for Maemo - Pester Power Thread

As discussed in several threads on this forum - there are quite a few QT apps already for Symbian which have not been deployed to Maemo and our beloved N900.

I think this community should take mass direct action. And use the communities pester power to further our aim.

What I propose is;

If you have a Symbian QT app that you would like to see on the N900 send the developer/company an email requesting they could easily deploy it to maemo and the N900.

Post your email request here on this thread with email address and then all the maemo.org community can email the same request (ie cut & paste).

I will start us off.

I would like to see the Guardian Nokia app for the N900.

Subject: Guardian Nokia app for N900

I am a Nokia N900 user and I’m an avid guardian.co.uk reader and I recently noticed your fantastic ‘Guardian Nokia app’ has been coded using Qt for Symbian devices.

Do you know that Qt allows you to write advanced applications and UIs once, and then deploy them on multiple platforms without rewriting the source code saving time and development cost.

http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/Support_for_Maemo

So the work you have done with the ‘Guardian Nokia app’ using Qt for symbian can be easily deployed to Nokia N900 (Maemo).

I would love to access your content on the move. Your app would work fantastically on the Nokia N900 allowing us to stay in touch with guardian.co.uk content.

Thank you so much for considering my request

+1. Will be interesting to see if they respond :)

edit: One thing tho! Isn't there a risk the messages will be caught in a spam filter due to being ctrl+c ctrl+v (identical)?

what I would love to see on our n900s is http://molo.me/ , works just like instagram... take pictures, do a little visual efects and share on a social network... I already asked the developer, he told that he is looking for it, but is was a little time ago....
