N12 OC problem

I have a problem that my Nitdroid keeps restarting after few minutes

I used custom 8GB 20GB eMMC (Which I flashed just for N12 and more tham 7.8GB free). Everything was working fine till

I installed setcpu 2.14 from xda-developers website.

I used the recommended overclock option, but I think my oc is unstable and the phone restarts quite often and the most of the apps just hang-up or stop working after some time.

I tried to find a way to un-install setcpu but no success. (I have revoked the permission for setcpu from superuser.. don't know if it will work)

I wanted to change oc-prfile manually so I followed the post Clock & Power Management in NITDroid

Quote:

NITDroid Clocking and Power management is controlled by the file /system/etc/power.conf.
Best way to access this file is to boot into Maemo, and mount your NITDroid partition on /and.
Then the file is obviously /and/system/etc/power.conf. You can edit with the standard Linux
text editors, like nano or vi.
I mounted /and and went to the /and/system/etc folder but there is no power.conf file

the only conf files are
Code:

oc-profiles-250-500.conf
oc-profiles-500-700.conf
oc-profiles-500-750-1000.conf
oc-profiles-500-750.conf

Because N12 uses 700MHz as default frequency and setcpu was showing frequencies upto 1000+ MHz in use so I guessed that it is using the oc-profiles-500-750-1000.conf profile hence I updated it with the following.

Slight Overclocking: This profile uses 750MHz.

Code:

#
# Power management configuration file
#

# Power save config
enable_off_mode                        1
sleep_while_idle                1
clocks_off_while_idle                1
voltage_off_while_idle                1

# Automatic voltage scaling
scaling_governor                ondemand
scaling_max_freq                750000
scaling_min_freq                500000

# DVFS load treshold
up_threshold                        95

# DVFS sampling rate
sampling_rate                        150000

# DVFS operating points
vdd1_opps_vsel                        30 30 38 48 48 54 54 60 60 64 64 68 68 72 72
dsp_opps_rate                        90 90 180 360 400 430 430 430 430 500 500 500 500 520 520

# Freqs NOT to use
avoid_frequencies                700000 600000 550000

# Smartreflex
smartreflex_vdd1                0
smartreflex_vdd2                0

My Nitdroid is still not stable...
Can anyone please suggest a solution?

Thanks in advance

Re: N12 OC problem

@t4ure4n

try editing one of you oc profile and delete values on avoid frequencies; then rename the edited oc profile to power.conf

do a backup or just copy a profile you're editing.

I am going to try it now?
