please help its very important as my brother in law has signed a document which we cannot determine the origin so pls kindly help

Yes, try File-> properties
Did your brother inlaw jack into VR to sign that document?
Did he get out okay or he's still jacked in?

In Word 2007, round button -> Prepare -> Properties.

Thank you very much for your swift responses.I was away and busy meeting a lawyer.Infact its a hard copy that my bro in law signed.Eventually he has been transferred to some other place.Now the police are saying that there is conspiracy behind that ,involving my bro in law.The police will not allow anyone to access to that document.Even there will be a chance to destroy that.We don't have any access to that soft copy.In this juncture I will appreciate even there is a slight chance with the help of this enlightened community.1.53 millions of USD is involved here.

Sounds like a mess.. but would make for an interesting bollywood movie for sure!
Glad there was no VR involved too.. I'm still building up the courage and funds for an Oculus Rift Development Kit ($550+AUD)
