Stolen Nokia N900 report - Australia

Hi guys. I am just reporting my phone as stolen from the 16th of May 2015, from Townsville, Queensland (Australia).
The phone has been reported to police along with the following IMEI number ...

IMEI - 356938035426411

I have reported it to my carrier and they assured me the phone is blocked. However when I go IMEI searches on the internet, it's reported as CLEAR. Can someone please confirm if the above IMEI is blocked?
I have also reported it to the 3gadgets.com and you can use that to confirm my name and contact details.

Reward $$ for my phone back.

Cheers

Yet, this website says, that the IMEI is likely still valid;

what if the thief simply was looking for a N900 to upgrade to a Neo900? Wouldn't this give a new IMEI as well?

99% of the thiefs just steals to resell it.... so the new owner might find out that it's blocked...

aahh, so, did you get your phone back....and now it only works in those regards?

I was outbid on this one, looks like they got a good deal (especially if they used the 20% off coupon), anybody here own up to it? ;)

Also, what do you think of this?

hey elcaito,
If you're lucky you may end up buying your stolen one back...
and if you are real lucky ...and you got a dense, lazy thief ..and it'll still have all your stuff on it.

All cracks aside...only a philistine would steal a nit.
I do wish you nothing but the best in finding a good replacement n900.
