I tried several times reflashing with linux and windows, including power plug/unplug, without MC, but nothing happend.... the computer don't give any sign for recognizing the device...

you can remove the left bar by deleting it's section from desktop.conf. I don't like it because then the windows menu doesn't appear on left side.

I can, but I hate forks: every change should be updated twice. and then comes another fork (narrow/wide scrollbars for example), and you get 4 versions to maintain.

All textboxes has black bg - thats theme default. I guess the browsers inherits that. I all applications, the font color in textbox is (almost) white - expect of browsers.
I sampled the text color...

it's not that big for reading, it's for finger usage. maemo use one font size for many many widgets, including app menu and combo boxes. these tow should be really big to make them finger friendly.
