How did you manage format the internal MMC (~/MyDocs) into UDF? I cannot find UDF formatting tools that run in N900 and formatting the volume when mounted as "Mass Storage" does not work.

I see. I agree that the aluminum case will have mechanical issue as part of wear and tear. Also I think the having the cover open to the bottom of keyboard is a poor design choice.

After experiencing LCD screen got fractured, which cost me close to $200 to fix, I don't want to experience that...

Did you try to contact Nokia USA?

I think newegg.ca specifically said to contact Nokia USA for any warranty question.

Agreed. One thing that people sometime missed is that .deb format / dpkg tools are mostly used in one family of Linux distribution, i.e. Debian and its derivatives. In contrast, rpm format and tools...

Yum is commonly used for point upgrade (such as from Red Hat 5.3 to 5.4). For Red Hat since big version upgrade happens quite rare, whether Yum can do version upgrade is not very big deal.

Basically rpm tool itself is parallel to dpkg without either apt nor dselect. Try to use dpkg like that and you will understand. The only thing was that front-end...
