Thanks both, but I don't even know what a symlink is, much less what is being connected where
There has to be somewhere I could start to learn but it is all pretty hard with zero knowledge

For the time being I am getting around the mac connectivity question by using the android dropbox app. That does find the photos and uploads them with no issues

Only issue for me with not having mass storage is that it makes it pretty hard to get photos off the phone without some aggro. Bit can always take the sd card out anyway, just not as convenient

Guess I oversimplified and made matters worse. Right now the UK is at UTC and phone is set to UK, London. The pictures posted earlier by Bockersjv are exactly what I experience
