I tried to change
/sys/devices/platform/gpio-switch/cam_launch/state
from inactive to active. But it is not allowed to edit this file. Even if I change the permissions to 777, it still won't let...

Camera is on the mainboard and is ok. Only that small board which contains the Flash light is broken.

have you installed kernel power and fcamera driver? if so then remove fcam-driver and reboot the phone, dunno why but it all the times happen to e and i don't install both of them at the same time
