In fact it's not a feeling: when mounting the sdcard as /home, settings are not persisted. I have tried mounting before the "Tracker hack" in the script, but it does not solve the problem...

Humm... not sure, but it feels like other settings are not saved either (or are loaded from the "traditional home-folder" before the sdcard is mounted). For example, the "fast call" setting does not...

@Leinad hi, your solution of mounting /home/ entirely on the sdcard seems quite desirable to me... Do you have any feedback on this? Any problem? Does it work well with latest OS upgrade?

This file has a size of 0 bytes, and it is dated 01/01/1970 01:00:01.

I also have a small sound on boot. I thought : cool, a more discrete startup (to be true, I find the nokia sound on startup quite intrusive, and moreover it does not sound so good, feel cheap).

No, I have no custom repository.

I finally just used the "reset settings" features, and this worked. So it is fixed for me :)
I would be curious however to know what this menu entry is triggering...

Reinstall and switching language forth and back did not help: still double icons and empty shorcut bar :(
