I can confirm that removing and installing FreOffice really gets rid of the missing lib problem, which made it not start at all.

I have not had it crash lately, can't say anything about that.

I too can confirm this bug. This kind of makes the application useless for me for the moment. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

I would find the possibility to clear already checked items from the list very useful. When the list grows long it would make it easier to use.

Any progress on debugging the missing database connection problem? Or any suggestions as to what I could try myself to fix it?

OK, I uninstalled maecalories, installed libgda3-sqlite manually, and then reinstalled maecalories again. Unfortunately it didn't change a thing. I still get the very same error message.

I kind of thought that the problem would be with missing dependencies, but wasn't sure. It seems strange. I'll try installing the sql backend manually. Thank's for the help.

After a light googling I found out what the formula used in Finland (probably in other parts of Europe as well) seems to be.

p = e/60 * f/10

where p stands for point, e for energy and f for fat...

Thanks, this is really brilliant! I haven't installed this yet, but I will as soon as I have some time. I don't have extras-testing enabled yet, and would rather not enable it before I know whether...
