Re: Wake on LAN possible?

Thanks! I'd spotted this just after I posted. It works a treat with my ReadyNAS NVX.

Re: Wake on LAN possible?

That link doesn't seem to work anymore! Is there a replacement one?

Would really appreciate getting a simple WOL program for my N810.

Many thanks..

Howard.

Re: Wayfinder map app update (2.2.8.604) - thoughts

Yes, its very annoying. Only happens when GPS is starting up and hasn't yet fully initialised I think.

Re: Internal GPS, AGPS and OS upgrades

I found that one of the recent updates to AGPS prevented me from getting a fix until I had rebooted the device. THen all was well. Worth knowing if MAP or AGPS updates are done separately to an OS...

Re: Wayfinder map app update (2.2.8.604) - thoughts

I think they've made it easier to see the overview of the calculated route. The button that you press to see the whole route now displays it for longer (was about 0.2 seconds or something stupid). It...

Angry Re: Wayfinder map app update (2.2.8.604) - thoughts

I'm using T-Mobile W'n'W plus in UK and the traffic updates don't work over 3G on latest version of MAP only via Wifi (so no change there). I have to say that the traffic data I have seen have been...

Question Re: 16GB microSDHC/miniSDHC cards soon?

What class is the Sandisk card? I thought they were only class 2 which sounded very slow. Are faster ones available now or doesn't it matter that much? I'm currently using a class 4 8Gb microSDHC.

I have a similar problem. Doesn't seem to have been fixed by the latest software upgrades.

Re: scrolling for lefties?

I think the secret is to enter the new value in the 'value' field, then press ENTER, then click on 'Set Preference' button.

Works every time for me provided that you don't miss out the 'press...

Re: A-GPS Beta MUCH improved GPS on N810

I see that there is a new version of agps-ui (0.10-1beta), has this made a difference to any of the problems that some were reporting here?

Re: viewing .mov files...

So, to get back on topic, is there a way to play .mov (quicktime) movies on the NIT? A lot of digital cameras generate this type of file and its frustrating not to be able to play them.

Re: More sub-forums under applications

I agree with the proposal to have a forum for GPS topics, but it needs to cover both the hardware and software as so many threads are related to both.

There are so many threads covering GPS...

Re: Mapping N810 as drive on Windows?

Re: HH-12 mount available by itself anywhere?

In the UK Nokia only seem to sell it with the phone holder. I got mine in the January sales so that made it a bit more palatable - still cost me about £20 though.

It works well, but the...

Re: Cell phone remote control from a tablet

Cars (esp. BMW) seem to be using Remote SIM access (SIM Access Profile) to effectively use a mobile phone remotely through bluetooth. Its a pity this isn't available for the NIT (although I know its...

Talking Re: Has anybody got a 'My T-Mobile' account on the UK T-Mobile website

T-Mobile have recently updated their website for 'My T-Mobile' as far as I can tell, and I found that the first time you visit it (from any device/PC) it will ask you to confirm acceptance of the...

Re: Nokia E51 and N800 - Great Combination

I've got the E51 and N810 combination too.

For me the critical factors that make the two ideal are:

1. Can share the same charger so when travelling can take just one.
2. Can interchange the...

Unhappy Re: BBC News site re-design

Yes, the new site is much worse for NITs. I also noticed that the logos and masthead don't render well. Presumably this is to do with the limited number of colours that the NITs can handle.

Re: What to call the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet - WiMAX Edition? N810W or N810WE

N810WE should be OK, but we need to make sure we leave room for all the other editions we need Nokia to produce:

N810BK = Better Keyboard edition
N810HR = Hi Resolution Camera edition
N810SD =...
