I noticed the handful of messages about the demise of their Wayfinder licences just today as my own approaches expiry next month.

The maps are indeed slowly getting out of date, the live traffic...

As no traffic problems on M25 were shown that morning, it must be the new Map (v2.2.8.604) 's algorithm has been changed - this congestion charge feature...

The overview display is shown all the time u depress the distance button ->· so no change in behaviour for me. If u tap the button, u get a brief pulse of the overview as before.

I looked at http://europe.nokia.com/explore-services/maps/prices_and_coverage Netherlands and Drive&Walk licencse for Benelux is €70, while Traffic is €20 - over 12 months. So same as UK - though...

No package, just bog standard Web access with no proxy in the way - Map is using port 80 hence final ".www" on log from above post.

b) in a car u end up trying to read an awfully small display - something the N810 is perfect for which is...

That is where I started, with O2. They swear blind they do no traffic mangling.


Tried under O2 monthly and Pasugo, slightly different settings from default u get. Tried many variants of settings...

Well is it their product, Map, that is brocken? If it's using sockets then Map shouldn't even be aware its talking thru Bluetooth DUN to the internet rather than thru Wifi - one would have thought!...

No packet mangling being done - Wayfinder admit a problem, they just don't intend to fix it or even admit if it's fixable by them. Read x thread reference above for the Byzantine response 2 of us...

Just to cross reference this, the new maemo patch out and about (OS2008 version 5.2008.43-7) still doesn't help me connect - see thread 'SSU 5.2008.43-7 is available'...

Hi there, did u ever get any feedback from them? I guess not as you've just sold your N810!

I've got the same problem with a simple GPRS/Bluetooth connection with O2. Wifi fine.
