I tried on a different computer and it worked. No idea why.
If you have this trouble and you know what you're doing then I'd suggest trying a different computer.

I jumped ship and got an iPhone in the end. It does everything I want day-to-day and the interface gives you so much satisfaction (everything works, it's responsive and looks nice). Plus my old iPod...

Ok, I think I've figured it out now but I don't understand it.
It seems that flashing the N770 doesn't reset the USB Host mode enabled/disabled portion of the device so I have to XTerm and enable...

Ok, now I've reverted back to OS2006 and it still doesn't work.
I formatted the MMC using a card reader but still no luck.
If I flash the firmware it should delete everything, right?

USB to PC connection not working
I've done a search of the forums but can't find this question answered anywhere.
On OS2006 if I connected my N770 via USB to my PC it mounted the MMC card as a drive.
