Ok i usef fdisk and was able to create the partitions. Now when I boot and select Android, these messages come:
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
I did reboot and tried twice...

Ok now i have deleted my partitions completely. Can u plz tell me the commands using fdisk rather than gparted and then how do i extract, sudo tar or just tar. (I am on Ubuntu Live CD)

Ok i guess I have solved the issue and now I am booting android but it takes lot of time. it often says init: untracked pid xxx exited.
is this going in the right direction?

I have tried doing this again and again. repartitioning. can u plz tell me how do i change permissions of the memory card folder fab3b96b-05e9-4b56-af0e-250bd8e9842b. that would solve my problem

Ok, I did that. Now I am able to get that. I downloaded the file. I am using ubuntu live cd. I am unable to extract it. when i type
sudo tar jxvf nit..tar.bz2
it says read only file system,...
