Re: Terrible quality photos

NO KIDDING!

Oh man, last week I badly needed to take some pictures of a serial number inside a dark server cabinet (don't ask!) because they were not accessible with the naked eye, and the...

Re: Suggestions

* Calendar- I think the alarms could be much improved.
For Example; I just created an "all day event" spanning 2 days, but it only allows an alarm "The day before", or no alarm at all.
A choice...

Re: PSX / Playstation 1 Emulator

Another vote for psx4all on Maemo5 N900 here!

Can you imagine playing Gran Turismo 2 on these beastly devices? Maybe even with tilt controls like VGBA does??! *shakes with glee at the thought*

Re: Awesome battery life for a device like this (N900) - 42 hours and still showing 20%

I've had my phone 5 days and I can take it off charge first thing in the morning and go until bedtime the following day. Usage = constant 3g (not internet connected), a tiny bit of Wifi (set to...

Re: Laberynth

I've been playing Enigma and it's a great puzzle game but seems to have a bit of an annoying bug where the game frequently lags due to the screen darkening and re-lightening, as though it is...

Re: Enigma now ported to maemo

I've been playing Enigma on the N900 and it's great! Only one complaint though, the game lags while the screen frequently darkens and then re-lightens, as if it is adjusting to the ambient light,...

I really hope someone takes this over as this would be a much appreciated add-on!

Re: [ANNOUNCE] zoutube a youtube browser and player now in extras-devel

I found an issue this morning; probably of my own doing, but thought I'd report it...
I left my N900 running Zoutube playing a vid (probs about 30mins long) of some classical music to help me sleep....

Re: Essential and recommended applications

No luck with Irreco for me unfortunately, it gives the following error:

...which is mentioned in the Irreco thread a bunch of...

Re: N900 Case / Pouch / Screen Protector Thread

^^ Nice! I like that, any idea if I can get one in the UK without crazy costs? Does the top drawstring close or keep the phone in the pouch in any way?

I'm very tempted by this one:...

Re: N900 Case / Pouch / Screen Protector Thread

Ooh, I like the vertical one without the belt clip. Any idea if it's available in the UK and prices if so?

This is in the post to me as a quick and cheap solution just to get some instant...

Re: Watch and cheer

Yes and no. In Mass Storage mode I found I could use most functions that don't touch the mass memory just fine- I'm pretty sure I was OK with browsing, texting and emails etc, but had to close down...

Re: Essential and recommended applications

Totally! I've been using the VGBA emulator (sucks that Nokia had to pull it and I had to use terminal to install- can't see proper Linux newbs being thrilled with that prospect) and it's not exactly...

Re: OCR + accelerometer = real fun

Lol!

Sounds like a nice 10 minute gimmick to impress iPhone fanbois and N900 naysayers though (and I don't mean gimmick in a bad way- after all I consider mutli-touch to be just that, when other...

Re: vibration on nokia n900

I was thinking the _exact_ same thing today!

I personally would guess it's because of the type of mechanics used to make the vibration...it feels like the N900 has a standard old-school method of...

Re: Benefits of expanding N900 memory

Oh of course, I mean that's a no brainer :)
I was just thinking more along the lines of what the immediate benefits are of buying a 16gb card- I didn't know if the device could indeed split system...

Re: Nokia to close London Regent Street Flagship Store

Cheers...
