Thanks for your app.

It works great, but i've managed to hang it twice when loosing connection with the server (bad wifi actually).

You probably should do communication stuff in another thread...

or
date +"%m-%d-%Y %H:%M"

for 12-hour format and other options check out man date (http://unixhelp.ed.ac.uk/CGI/man-cgi?date)
