Den X-Server ausmachen wird schwierig! Dazu musst Du erstmal eine Console aktivieren, würde aber gehen wenn Du das R&D an machst... ;-)

Prinzipiell hast Du als Endanwender Recht. Warte noch ab bis die Software für das N900 ausgereift ist und viele zusätzliche Programme verfügbar sind.

Für manche ist das so ziemlich der einzige Grund das N900 zu kaufen! :-D Das ist der Zugang zum Maschinenraum! Dadurch dass dieses Terminal dabei ist muss nicht erst eine Türe zum Maschinenraum...

Welches Paket von welcher Quelle nutzt Du für OpenVPN? Ich habe bei mir ein openvpn in einer debian chroot am laufen und kann nicht sagen dass das viel Batterie kostet.

Bei mir genauso. Vorallem wenn man die Tastensperre bedient meint man, da verschiebt sich etwas. Aber Tastensperre kann man auch mit dem Power-Knopf entriegeln.
