n900, firefox, downloads pausing

For large files, downloading from a usenet caching website, i have to check the download often as it pauses without notifying me. Anyone have an idea why it is doing this, and if it can't be fixed,...

I'm sure someone will scream placebo, but the system in general is feeling a whole lot more responsive. Application switching isn't as jaggy anymore.

Thanks for this. I thought I was going mad given how good the browser was to start with and how quickly it deterioated. hopefully a future update or the full release of firefox will fix this issue.

Heh I suspect this is a common problem for N900 users. My solution was to have it plugged into my laptop. The laptop being on purely to power the N900. :D
