Re: Could an app manipulate TV-out signal? Stretch it? Apply filters?

Sorry about resurrecting a dead thread. However, since I kept on finding this post everytime I searched for "n900" and "myvu", I"m just going to leave one potential solution here.

I managed to get...

Re: n810 as a biking computer?

I've decided and started to just recode the thing from scratch.

Anyone around here a cyclist/hci person that I can ping for advice?

And what features do people want? I'm going to start small...

Re: n810 as a biking computer?

I'm normally a perl programmer: I thought that's what python coders teased perl programmers about. ;)

Re: n810 as a biking computer?

Sure, please feel free (http://disconti.nu/n810/cycling/speed-a00.tar.gz). I'll release it to the public domain. Do it become so if I just say it? I hope so, it'll be like magic! *waves arms* it is...

Re: n810 as a biking computer?

Thanks for that, I've never heard of either of those apps. Speedometer looks quite promising. Unfortunately, while ecoach looks absolutely awesome, it's probably not for me: I must be getting old, I...

n810 as a biking computer?

Since I didn't see anything like it yet, I've just thrown this up.

It's an incredibly crude program (It's my very first maemo app and even C!) so good luck with it ;) It works for me so perhaps...

Re: How can I Use my notebook as Bluetooth Keyboard for my Nokia tablet ?

While I haven't tried it myself, perhaps this may help?

http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?p=16367#post16367

It's for the 770 but perhaps it'll work on the n810 as well?

Re: How can I Use my notebook as Bluetooth Keyboard for my Nokia tablet ?

If you can get bluetooth pan working, perhaps synergy will function well. Not sure it will compile well but since the unit is running on X... synergy also works on linux, windows and macs.

A bit...

Re: security and encryption

I'd love to grab a copy or if you link me the resources that you used to compile that kernel. I found an old doc about compiling the kernel for, I think OS2007, but my scratchbox install was...

Gpg works but I believe that works with single files. I'm also looking for encfs or truecrypt since it transparently encrypts entire filesystems... (usually as a file that's mounted as a loopback...

You may need a username password, on an old phone I did.

For me it was:

Username was: TENDIGITNUMBER@1x.telusmobility.com
Password was: phone's ESN number

Re: USB 2.0 OTG on N810

Re: gphoto2 + canon 20d + n810 = chunky super unstable eyefi

Sure thing, I'll try and make a deb available and if I can't do that, I'll just make a tar/gz that you can unpackage in your home dir. Give me a day or two so I can find some time to recompile...

Re: Help: I have to do a hard reset to power on N810 after full shutdown

Hunt around for the "power on problem" (http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12863), you're not the only one that has encountered that problem.

I think xmodmap is working. If you don't have that app, if you have all your application repositories setup, it should be an easy install.

Once that's installed, create a file like ".xmodmap" that...
