Re: N810 - What can it do?

I got one of these! £45 isn't too bad. Except, the listing was a little vague as to if this was a retail boxed, or used unit. It was NOT retail boxed, and "mint" was stretching things slightly (as...

Re: Mono 2.4.3 on Maemo

Is there any chance this might be made to work on the N8x0? I can see there's a diablo folder, but those debs depend on libs of a version that are later than the current diablo distro has available:...

Re: wanted to buy used n800 in mint condition

I have one, about a year old. In good condition - I wouldn't say "mint", but not far off of it. What are you looking to pay?

Fs: N800

I have recently got an iPhone and an MSI Wind. Between the two, my N800 is sitting about the place unloved. As such I'm thinking that selling it on would make the little fellow happy!

What I have:...

Re: Another Android port: NITdroid

You misunderstand, I don't want to reflash I just want to be able to boot to Maemo if Nitdroid is installed.. I though Solca had mentioned that was in the release he did after Christmas. I thought it...

Re: Another Android port: NITdroid

You can reboot to Maemo in "some way" is good enough. I got an iPhone last week, so this isn't such a big deal and I might wait, but good to know anyway.

Re: Another Android port: NITdroid

Does the current version allow you to boot to Maemo from Android yet? I haven't been following the development for a few weeks. That was the part that was stopping me install it and keep it around...

Re: Another Android port: NITdroid

Sounds like it works about as well as the meter did in Qtopia on the Sl5500. The biggest issue with the Sharp devices was the poor battery life and poorer battery indicator (full, 3/4 full, half...

Re: Another Android port: NITdroid

Unless you put the binary config tool on the FAT partition, so Android installs it, the MAC address uses a default value, which is something like 00-02-ee-c0-ff-ee (look back in the thread, search...

Re: Another Android port: NITdroid

Does the backlight now fade to black when not in use? That would be cool and make me not reflash back to Maemo right away next time round.

What is the best LINUX distro for Android dev? I'm...

I also have ATi (mobile Radeon) and am using whatever driver was detected...

Re: Another Android port: NITdroid

Reading the output, I'd have to ask the same question. Is there an initfs partition for it to go on? should it just go in the equiv place on the Android FS we un-tar?

Re: Another Android port: NITdroid

I'll be playing NIT kernel ping pong till Android can be dual booted, so next time I reflash, I'll give that a whirl.

Re: Another Android port: NITdroid

A quick Google shows only NIT hits for that MAC address really. A few for this thread (bloomin' eck that was fast Google!) and some on a thread sating Debian falls bacl to that MAC address. So I'm...

Re: Another Android port: NITdroid

The MAC address seems to always be 0002EEC0FFEE, so you could add that to the filter. Probably safer to prevent the casual security cracker.

Re: Another Android port: NITdroid

YES! The MAC address is coming out screwy. If you have MAC addree filtering on (and mine is at two levels) id doesn't authenticate.

Re: Another Android port: NITdroid

Mac address filtering? I have it turned on, but my NIT is already added. However, does Android use that MAC address? Or does the MAC address come out as 00:02:EE:C0:FF:EE ?? I see that one as...
