Re: Canola and Diablo

I can see the video icon, but Canola can't see any video files (it can see music) - I'm streaming from my XP laptop and the sream is coming via Windoze Media Player - it worked fine before

Re: N800 ebay spammer

Ebay triggers a lot of SPAM from fruit & nut cases. You need to install some basic anti-SPAM software (such as Mailwasher if you are running XP) - this offers you the chance to blacklist the bastards...

Re: bluetooth, what to use it for?

File transfer for dummies - it is so simple to move files from and to N8xx to XP machines - even my Apple G5 is set up as a trusted partnership. Any new stuff (like apps or mp3s are downloaded on my...

Re: BoingoMobile connection

I'm currently on the 'first month free' and I don't have any issues with Boingo. So long as you do your homework beforehand, and find out where the hotspots are located (don't just turn up in the...

Re: Lousy experience on Nokia N800

I suspect poor Bod is simply trying to increase his/her hit list counter - Forums attract more than their share of fruit and nut cases and this is a classic example of a contributor who moans about...

Re: Lousy experience on Nokia N800

No - I'm blaming the OS and poor developers rather than the hardware. Thank you for the link - but this is Mistral rather than chinook - how do I know in advance that after so much effort, it won't...

I know Linux on Nxx is free - but does it have to be a totally amateurish and frustrating experience? Take one simple example - I attempted to install GPE Calendar on my N800 (flashed to OS2008) -...

Re: Ripping DVD to N800

Also worth a look is the Amadis Video Converter (it isn't free) see

You will still need to RIP, but it has the advantage of producing a video output...
