Re: Cellular Internet connectivity - best performance

Same here, but my phone clearly uses HSDPA. I guess my H icon gives that away. ;)

Re: Screen Protector

I purchased a PDair Screen Protector when I first got my N810. All I have to say is....CRAP. I had heard that the N810 was legible under sunlight before I purchased, so the anti-glare wasn't the...

Re: Cellular Internet connectivity - best performance

Currently i'm using MediaNet and a Sony Ericsson K850i (3.6Mb/s HSDPA). Download tests have revealed i'm getting at most times 800-1000KB/s down. You also have to realize since it's still packet...

Re: Cellular Internet connectivity - best performance

Sounds like a great deal, except I'm not willing to pay the early termination fee. I'm not sure how far deployed EVDO Rev.a is either. I was at the launch party in Seattle last year though, so...

Re: Cellular Internet connectivity - best performance

You're on the right track. Now it's up to you since it's your money and taste at hand now.

From my understanding, all Bluetooth 2.0 has EDR, as it is a specification built-in.

"Bluetooth 2.0...

Re: Cellular Internet connectivity - best performance

Sorry, I meant the Z750a.

2100 FREQ is only used in Euro. So, if you are a traveler, it would be useful, but obviously international data roaming is another beast.

Like I was saying, both the...

Re: Microb-engine SVN build

Ok, so Adblock AND Flashblock indeed work with this build, BUT not at once.

After installing the SVN, I uninstalled both apps, rebooted, installed one at a time and rebooted once again in between...

Re: Cellular Internet connectivity - best performance

For free (assuming that your adding a new line & it's the REFURB) seems like a decent deal if you basically just want to tether it. Small screen and not very aesthetically pleasing to the eyes...

Re: Cellular Internet connectivity - best performance

Sorry, no, the nokia 6555 is DOES NOT have/support HSDPA, it is strictly a UMTS 3G device. Specs here (http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_6555-2071.php).

Using a Smartphone and DataConnect will not...

Re: Cellular Internet connectivity - best performance

I don't know why you want to spend more money for the same thing. DataConnect gets you onto the ATT network, just like MediaNet. The only difference is the proxy, which has not bearing...

Re: Microb-engine SVN build

Google Reader works very well now, but.....there is some screen tearing/artifacting after scrolling. if I can remember correctly, I stopped using GR in the past because of lag, but it is totally...

Re: Microb-engine SVN build

Yup, got it. Thanks.

So far the only thing i've noticed is that scrolling is indeed smoother as it does not lag or chop. If there is anything else noticable, i'll post back.

**Adblock and...

Exclamation Re: Mplayer plug-in 3.50

I'm guessing I missed something. When I watch a trailer at apple, 1/3 of the way through the stream, it stops, if I try to click play or rewind to try to get the stream back, it jacks up my IT. By...

Interesting. I cannot open WAV files either. I could probably do it in xterm, but I don't feel I should have to. Does anyone else have this problem? I'd like to open my voice messages from my IT,...
