As normal user it appears I can read and write in MyDocs as creating my test file worked.

As normal user, trying to write to /etc/ I received the expected permission denied.

I used vi and created a test file in MyDocs/tmp/. That file survived a power off / on. I can read the file.

Filesystem seems to be in a read only state.

df -h shows nothing mounted.

/etc/mtab is blank
/etc/fstab has entries

If I reboot the phone, it reverts back to its state from Jan 25th.

Thanks for the info.
Unfortunately, when I wrote "all of them", I meant even the Nokia ones are gone. There is not a single entry on the Application Catalogs page of Application Manager.

The repositories are missing. All of them. Have done nothing I know of since the last time I uninstalled an app a few days ago.

I believe you are correct as I see that is the contents of /etc/hostname and syslogd typically places the hostname into the log line.

Not sure if it makes a difference but I made a typo when setting up the log levels. I typed:

gconftool-2 -s --type=int /apps/activesync/AsStatus/Syslog/MinLogLevel 0

instead of:
gconftool-2 -s...

I also noticed in the log that version seemed strange. My phone is patched to version 2.2009.51-1.002 as shown in the About screen. However in the log I see "Nokia-N900-42-11". Are these version...

Here is a log file for N900 attempting to sync to a Kerio 6.7.3 Patch 1 server for the first time and receiving the "Error communicating with Exchange server".

SSL is working at least as confirmed...

N900 connect to ichat jabber server

Has anyone been able to connect their N900 to an ichat server?

I have other clients able to connect such as Adium. Not sure how to troubleshoot this. The log on the ichat server is not showing...

I have the N900 and the 5800. According to the rebate form, you must activate the account on the device. The rebate requests the IMEI number too. The 5800 was bought 6 - 7 months ago.
