So... it's kinda built - just fails creating some symlinks (st00pid me trying to build from sdcard...). There is a node binary under <node>/out/Release/node which happily returns a version number :-)...

Looks like binutils is b0rked (ld doesn't like sysroot option).. trying to compile binutils 2.20 with "--with-sysroot" options. Wish me luck....

You can try installing gcc/g++, make etc and compiling it yourself (or cross-compiling). Getting gcc & g++ installed is a bit of a pain, but there are some good guides on google.

Had this problem a while ago.. in my case, the battery monitor was lying - it was very low on battery.
Had to give it a decent charge before it was able to boot again.

Left the screen protector off overnight and it appears to be working again. The rain has also stopped and it is feeling less like a (humid) sweaty arm-pit around here.

I've tried removing the screen protector and leaving it in rice overnight without much luck. Even tried pulling it apart to dry it out - got stuck on the screws that hold the LCD and touch screens...
