While i did not obtain my N9 through Handtec i found my device affected
as well. I did install PR1.1 today and found it a substantial improvement.

Unfortunately i still get hangs and...

and could not see any attempt to access PBAP in the hcidump.

The same happened to me as well after the update to Diablo.
I fixed it by using the gconf editor to remove the previous connection entries.

I would assume the OS2008 does not send a name when requesting a DHCP address.
My DHCP server log seems to suggest so as i can see a name with other systems but
not from the OS2008.

I have the same FW on the 6680 (v5.04.07). I initially encountered the
problem with the OS2008 "beta version" on the N810 but don't recall what
specifically fixed it. I've updated to the newest...

Happened to me as well with my 6680 with the beta version.
I can't recall what fixed it. Either accessing the phone through
the file manager or rebooting both devices.

It crashed when scanning the mmc that happened to have a broken
(empty) file with the extension .mp3 for some reason.

sudo gainroot starts another shell process rather than raising
the privileges of the existing one.

A quick solution would be to make openvpn suid root as in
chmod 4755 /usr/sbin/openvpn
