Re: Buying from overseas (Australia)

yes, they asked for an image of my CC; I can understand why they want it, and since I'd read many positive review of this store before ordering from them I agreed.

Re: Buying from overseas (Australia)

I bought my N810 from BLT, and my experience with them was quite positive. I know others who have bought laptops from them and had them sent overseas with no problems.

Re: Best Email Client?

I tried Claws and liked it so much that I switched to using it on my desktop too (instead of Thunderbird, which I was quite happy with- but there's something about Claws that immediately gave me the...

Re: Maemo mapper- depends on libgdm3 or libgdbm3?

It's a brand-new N810, with the latest OS2008. I installed MM using the application manager, and I get a segmentation fault when I launch it.

Maemo mapper- depends on libgdm3 or libgdbm3?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but I'm trying to run maemo mapper for the first time, and it doesn't launch. I read here that people mention that you have to manually install libgdm3 (also...

Re: Where can I buy the N800 in London?

MST- you're right, but since I'll be flying to a country outside the EU I can get the VAT back, so PC World's price seems like a better deal than Dixons. But maybe I'm spending too much energy on...

Re: Where can I buy the N800 in London?

hmmm... too late for me this time.
Anyway, I followed tabletrat's suggestion and wrote to PCWorld to ask them; their reply was that they expect to get it back in stock sometime in the near future.

Re: Where can I buy the N800 in London?

Hi Armando,
Thanks for the offer, but I'd rather not buy 2nd hand (and besides, the price at the airport is only 238 pounds...

Re: Where can I buy the N800 in London?

Thanks, Arjun, but i'm afraid this isn't practical. Importing any kind of wireless device into Israel can be a bureaucratic nightmare, especially if it's a device that isn't sold here; I know...

Re: Where can I buy the N800 in London?

Thanks. I checked the PC World web site, and it looks like none of their stores in London has it in stock; I hope this changes until next week because their price is quite good :(

Hi,

According to this thread (http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5150), finding the N800 in London used to be a problem; is this still the situation? Can anyone recommend a...
