Re: N900 + Google Latitude

Ok, I really seem to be having some troubles getting Latitude to work, either through the desktop version on the N900 or this application. I followed these instructions "Just delete the file...

Re: [Announce] modRana: a flexible GPS navigation system

I didn't time it, but for a similar size download it only 30 minutes or so using wifi but I do have a 100Mbps connection behind that. Wifi would have been the limitation though.

Re: What does android have that the n900 is missing at this point?

I am not sure which email client people think is so good on the N900, but Mail for Exchange is rubbish. It doesn't render full html emails. It can't accept appointments and it doesn't send...

Re: Constant 3G usage for no reason - kills battery in 2hr

This had not been a problem for five months and is how the N900 was designed/needs to be used.

Ok this won't fix the problem, but it might give me an idea as to what the problem is.

Ok, I...

Re: Constant 3G usage for no reason - kills battery in 2hr

The problem doesn't just occur when I am in my local area. It was even a problem when I was located 50m from a tower that was giving me better than 5Mbps downloads.

Re: Constant 3G usage for no reason - kills battery in 2hr

I understand it connects, but what is happening is the connection is being used heavily when there should be no activity on the connection.

As I said above, disabling the connection doesn't solve...

Re: Constant 3G usage for no reason - kills battery in 2hr

Sure I can disable the 3G internet connection, but that defeats the whole purpose of having an N900. Besides it has worked ok for 5 months using the 3G internet connection and the battery has lasted...

Constant 3G usage for no reason - kills battery in 2hr

Over the last three weeks my N900 (PR1.2) has been constantly using the HSPA connection whenever there is no wifi connection. This runs the battery flat in about 2 - 3 hours.

I normally have MfE...

Re: Mail for Exchange (MfE). Blame me here, pls

Over the last two weeks I am finding that my N900 battery is discharging very quickly when I am not on a wifi connection. It appears that the N900 is continually using the HSPA connection as the 3.5G...

Re: N900 five month sales less than 100,000, really?

Yes, someone made a big slip up there.
http://www.engadget.com/2010/05/28/nokia-sells-just-100-000-n900s-after-first-five-months-so/

I wonder if that means more than four times that have sold or...

Re: 13 May 2010 at 12:00 PM EEST - PR1.2 will be deployed

Just the term PR1.2 "deployed" makes it look fake.

You don't deploy a firmware that requires a reflash. Its not just a tiny patch.

Re: [Maemo 5] Maemo Mapper - Where are the N900 threads?
