Re: Rage iPhone, Are we going to see this on N900?

I think 6 moths for a bt mouse was quite a lot of wait for an ability that Nokia ('s probably incapable developers) crippled (probably unwillingly) when coding the touch drivers.

The lack of...

Re: Rage iPhone, Are we going to see this on N900?

No you won't see anything like it on the N900 because nokia does not support the N900 anymore.

All that MeeGo coming to N900 is BS as well due to the closed source drivers in the N900 which nokia...

Re: Android - let us teach you multitasking!

Not that I have anything against users with 8 posts but I'll probably see for myself soon.

In terms of UI I tried NITdroid didn't impress at all. On the other hand upgrades keep flowing and flash...

Re: Adobe Flash Player 10: When will the update arrive? Is it coming at all?

It's easy to criticize though without having used one ;)

I only hope MeeGo will bring major version updates and won't stay too far from the principles in Maemo5.

Re: Adobe Flash Player 10: When will the update arrive? Is it coming at all?

Considering the primitive state of the iOS it's probably much easier to offer upgrades.

But there's no excuse for dropping N900 like a rock. MeeGO is Maemo 6 and nokia should provide the update...

D'uh, not quite...
There still is MeeGo with community support if that does it for you...

Bit misinformed on the matter for a greeter I''d say...

Re: Adobe Flash Player 10: When will the update arrive? Is it coming at all?

N900 is a lost cause. All I can hope for is nokia supporting their devices from Meego on like Apple and Android do.

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated

The thread might be locked to stay clean.

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated

Do I still need the ext partition on the SD? Or is it automatically created?

If I don't need it anymore how can I remove it?

Thanks :D

Re: Disable automatic update check?

You can also check this thread for full file system access: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=41422&highlight=full+access+winscp

Or use the Filebox file manager (enable root from options).

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated

You have to re extract the nitdroid .tar. Just repeat step 6 again.

[Question] Running Android apps on N900/MeeGo

So, if iOS can partly run Flash (Frash) by emulating an Android environment, can't we emulate an Android environment to run some AndroidOS apps?

Just a suggestion/idea. It should be possible at...

Re: Android - let us teach you multitasking!

But how is it in general any way? Did you get used to it/missN900/still have N900/regret going to android?

And how's the apps and web browsing? Do tabs compare to our "windowed" experience?

Re: Android - let us teach you multitasking!

Well IMO task switching and closing useless tasks is one of the most important part in an OS. By the current design of android and iOS useless apps can leech battery as they please.

At leas iOS...

Re: John Carmacks 'RAGE' on the iPhone4

I don't really care as long as I don't see an open environment, shall we say gta3 type or like we have in fallout 3.

A closed room with detail textures doesn't mean much to me.

Re: Android - let us teach you multitasking!

I want to get it from the home button directly, that's the most important part. I tried ATK (mostly on NITdroid) but it doesn't replace the task changing features.

Re: Android - let us teach you multitasking!

Well by home I mean the middle button and long pressing it it brings up the built in task manager.
So far I haven't found anything on XDA besides multitask manager.
It's pointless to have a...
