I had something similar, though it died at about 90%. I took the battery out to reset it, then tried again. NSU said words to the effect of "I ballsed up - having another pop" and it finished OK.

I changed it to 99% and the pics seem (quite a lot) better to me. I'd do some before and afters, but I'm having problems SSH-ing into the phone.
